Our Story

The name Hootie was given to me by my mother and my aunt at a very young age. Growing up I stayed getting in trouble for using my mother's makeup without her permission. I always wanted to be glamorous like her. I was working at Walmart in 2015 shortly after giving birth to my son, and I knew that working for someone was not what I had in mind for myself. So, I quit and enrolled in Regency Beauty Institute. Which was not easy to explain to my mother when I had a 10-month-old baby to take care of. I worked hard through school which really didn't seem like work because I enjoyed every part of it. After while my mother started to hear about how well I was exceeding and gave me her blessing to continue. From that point on she was my biggest supporter. She came up with the name "Hootique" for me shortly after. She ended up passing away May 3rd, 2018 from stage 4 Gastrointestinal Cancer, and one of the promises I made to her was that I was going to stop being afraid of success and I would push Hootique pass what me or Her could imagine.
